Jack Dolce has resigned as Twitter CEO. He informed this through his official Twitter handle a while ago. Jack Dolce’s successor, who resigned from the post after 16 years as CEO, has also been selected. Parag Agarwal will be the next CEO of Twitter who has been the chief technology officer of the company so far.

In a letter to the employees, Dorse said that after nearly 16 years of playing the role of co-founder and CEO in the company, I have decided that it is time for me to leave. After Dorse resigned, the company has announced that parag agarwal, the company’s chief technology officer, will be the next CEO.

In a note with his resignation, Jack further wrote, “The first reason for my resignation is that Parag is going to become the CEO of the company. The Board has followed strict procedure suo-way and unanimously appointed him. Pollen has been my choice too, they understand the need of the company very deeply and Parag has played a role in every decision that transforms the company. ”

Parag Agarwal, 45, joined Twitter in 2011 and was made chief technology officer in 2017, six years later. The company’s board has since appointed Agrawal as the new CEO in place of Jack Dolce, giving him a big responsibility. Twitter Parag Agarwal has worked with giants LIKE Microsoft, Yahoo and AT&T before joining with Us.

Parag Agarwal has completed his PhD from Stanford University after studying B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. In addition to appointing a new CEO, the company has also announced to make board member Brett Taylor an independent chairman of the board with immediate effect from 2016.
